David Tice is a geopolitical strategist and producer / director of the eye opening documentary ‘Grid Down, Power Up.’ David came on to tell us about the unbelievable vulnerabilities of the U.S. power grid. Electricity–it’s cheap, fast, and readily available across most of the world. We rely on electricity to survive, yet most of us take it for granted. While we’ve gotten comfortable, a disaster has been brewing with every light switch flipped. It’s not a matter of “if” but “when” the grid will fail. David reveals that not only has the United States invested very little in its power grid infrastructure since the 1950s, but power companies are actively lobbying to provide as little protection and updates to the grid as possible. We get into how adversaries like China & Russia have openly plotted against the U.S. by way of implicating our grid and even how numerous homegrown attacks against vital electrical infrastructure has flown under the radar or at worst–purposefully ignored.
