what’s up guys in this video we’re going
to be talking about the best microphone
for YouTube and I’m not gonna beat
around the bush it is the blue snowball
microphone which I am using right now
blue snowball not Yeti snowball if we’re
taking price and quality into
consideration it is definitely the blue
snowball you wonder how much this thing
cost it costs between forty to sixty
dollars forty for a used one sixty for a
brand new one and it’s free shipping
alright
sixty bucks for this microphone I have
gotten millions of views on YouTube
millions of views and no one’s ever
complained about my mic quality no one
has ever complained about my mic quality
and it’s I use a blue snowball bin it’s
uh it’s cheap it sounds really good and
tons and tons of big youtubers use this
microphone please do not spend over $100
on a mic if you’re a brand new youtuber
just buy this man it’s cheap it sounds
great and no one will ever have just no
one will ever complain about your audio
quality alright so blue snowball get
that if you want a good microphone so
yeah if you want a good mic blue
snowball now I’m gonna try to give you
guys a little bit of tips and stuff so
uh let me just oh that was all right
ignore that this is my blue snowball
right here it’s not really on a stand um
one of the questions a lot of people
have is how far away should I hold the
microphone or how far away should the
microphone be where it is right now it’s
probably not a good distance but you
wanted approximately a foot but if you
talk really quiet and you’re really
monotone or whatever you want it closer
if you talk really loud you want it
further away it really did you know
depends on your voice and that’s
something not a lot of people understand
if you’re really really loud it’s okay
to keep the mic further away but if
you’re really quiet you have to kind of
move the mic closer and I don’t even use
a pop filter on mine so I’ll just keep
that in mind people if you look you know
tons of people searched and asked you
know how far away should I keep my mic
it depends on how loud or how quiet you
are and that will tell you you know how
close your might yeah got that next now
I’m going to tell you how to edit your
vocals and how you should record your
vocals and all that so we’re gonna
switch to audacity
now this might not be the best way to
edit the audio but this is how I do it
and it works really well for my videos
that might just be my voice but this
works well for me so I’d recommend you
guys do it the first thing you want to
do you’re gonna want to ya PI the first
thing you’re gonna want to do is you’re
going to wanted to go to noise reduction
and you’re gonna want to highlight a
space where you don’t say anything so
just you know don’t say anything for a
couple of seconds highlight that and
then you want to double click and
highlight the entire track and click
remove audio and what that’s gonna do is
if you know you’re recording beside your
PC kind of like I am or you have a fan
or something it’s gonna remove the
background noise and that will help you
a lot you know just no one likes
background noise plain is simple I don’t
really gotta explain that and then next
you’re gonna go to equalization or
actually going to go to effect
equalization and you’re in a boost to
trouble and do that and then after you
do that go to effect equalizations and
boost the base do those two things and
remove the background noise and your
commentaries will sound so much better
please do it for the sake of you that
your viewers it’ll make your audio sound
so much better and it’s really simple it
takes like five seconds to do and yep
blue snowball is the best microphone I
gave you tips on how far away it should
be and that’s how you edit it hopefully
I helped teach you guys something and
that’s the video
