what is going on guys as you can tell by

the title i’m going to be talking about

youtube gaming partnerships what it is

how to get it and what it does

so first things first i need to say this

video is going to be all over the place

it’s going to be kind of random at some

times but i want to cover everything and

anything about a gaming partnership that

way you do not have any questions and

you also might be wondering you know

where do you get your information from

how do i know what you’re saying is true

well i got partnered four months ago and

when i was trying to get partnered i

spent hours upon hours looking up

information and applying to networks and

i’m going to try to give you everything

and anything you need to know about a

gaming partnership in this video so you

don’t have to spend all those hours i

spent looking it up on the internet and

so you don’t have to be confused about

stuff so first things first why do i

need a partnership to make money off my

videos well you do not own call of duty

battlefield minecraft whatever you plan

on uploading so you need to get

partnered with the network like

machinima you tgn they have lawyers that

went to court and worked out deals with

uh video games to get rights to upload

it and if you upload a video game and

monetize it without being part of a

gaming network you could get in some

serious trouble because you do not own

that video game you do not have the

right to make money off of it but a

network like machinima has lawyers and

stuff that works out deals with the

games and gets permission to upload it

so when you join machinima join the

network you get the permission to upload

the video put ads on it and make money

off of it so that’s one of the biggest

reasons you need to join the network is

you know so you have the right to make

money off your videos

so you might be wondering how do i join

a network pretty much you need at least

200 subscribers if you don’t have 200

subscribers don’t try to join a network

you won’t find one and you need at least

2 000 views a month so let’s say you

have 200 subscribers 2 000 views a month

and you want to join a network well

pretty much you just go around applying

to networks and try to get in one now

the things you want to look at when

you’re trying to join a network is

revenue share because pretty much they

don’t give you the right to make money

off the game for free so

pretty they’re gonna take a percentage

of your income let’s say you make a

hundred dollars and you have a 30 70

revenue share if you make a hundred

dollars with 30 70 revenue share that

means you get 70 and your network gets

thirty dollars because

you have to give them a percentage of

your income because they give you the

right to make money off the video game

so a lot of networks are gonna ask for

like twenty to fifty percent uh twenty

80 20 revenue share is pretty good if

you get 80 of your income and the

company gets 20

that’s a really good deal i would sign

with them

70 30 is the highest revenue share would

go i would not give my company more than

30 percent of my income i have a lot of

friends that they have a 60 40 revenue

share which means their company gets 40

of their youtube income which is crazy

if they make 100 40 of it goes to their

network which that is just ridiculous

and

anyways let’s say you do you know go

around applying and

one of the things you need to look for

like i said is revenue share and the

next is your contract the length of your

contract you don’t want to sign a

contract longer than a year because you

might want to you know find a different

network you might end up hating the

network you applied for and got into so

you don’t want to be locked in more than

a year so you can freely leave when you

want to

my network has a three-month trial

period where i’m basically part of the

network for three months and i can leave

whenever i want to and then after that

three months is over i’m automatically

locked into a one-year contract and

for my first three months i didn’t have

any problems i like my network i like my

revenue share so i didn’t leave it and

then after my three month trial period

was over i got locked into a one-year

contract and that’s pretty much that

so now you might be wondering you know

how much money will i be making if i get

a gaming partnership well it mostly has

to do with your contract you can sign a

contract and either get paid a flat rate

so every thousand monetized views you

get two dollars or you get paid based on

what the avatars advertisers pay which

is like pretty much it can go up and

down if you get paid based on what the

advertisers pay and you can make a

dollar a thousand views and then the

next thousand views make seven dollars

it all depends on what the ad is so

let’s say you get a flat rate so let’s

say you make two dollars every thousand

monetized views every thousand times

your ads are watched you get two dollars

well you gotta keep this in mind there

is an extension called ad blocker it has

like 20 million downloads ad blockers

for google chrome internet explorer

firefox what ad blocker does is it

blocks the ads so

on average thirty percent of your

viewers will have ad blocker and will

not see your ads so if you get a

thousand views you’re not going to make

two dollars you’re gonna make like a

dollar fifty because thirty percent of

the people on average that watch that

video will have ad blocker and if

someone watches your video with ad

blocker you do not get paid for them

watching your video

and since we’re on the topic of money um

you know taxes once you make x amount of

money you’re gonna have to start paying

taxes on your video but if you make

under a hundred dollars uh it’s

considered a hobby you do not have to

worry about paying taxes even once you

make a hundred dollars you’re really not

100 a month not a hundred dollars once

you start making 100 a month you’re

still not going to really have to pay

taxes but eventually once you get big

enough it’s not going to be considered a

hobby and you will have to pay taxes on

it so keep that in mind you might want

to let your parents know once you start

to get a little bit bigger once you’re

making like 200 a month it’s going to be

required that you pay taxes on your

income from your videos and if you don’t

you’ll get a huge fine so just keep that

in mind but if you’re a small youtuber

kind of like me when i make this video

and you’re only making like 10 a month

you do not have to worry about paying

taxes uh once you get 100 views 100

views 100 a month that’s when you

actually have to start worrying about

taxes but if you’re making under 100 a

month don’t even worry about it don’t

let it bother you
