what’s up guys I decided to do a

throwback video and do a video game

commentary that’s literally what the

first 300 probably 350 videos on this

channel are are just simply video game

commentaries and that’s honestly how I

got my first six probably seven thousand

subscribers you know a huge part of this

channel is video game commentaries its

what a lot of you guys used to know me

as and so I decided to make a video

talking about why I stopped playing

video games and what better way to do

that then talking over video games I

used to play a long time ago so I guess

I should start off by saying Call of

Duty was the first video game I ever

really got into and I’ve all the time

I’ve ever spent playing video games

probably over 90 percent of it has been

gone has been put into coal duty that’s

just the first game I ever got addicted

to and once Club UT started dying off

like advanced warfare of that game suck

my love for video games died off and

really the last year I played video

games I was purely playing them just for

footage for YouTube like I’ve I it’s

slowly over the years it went from I I

love video games and because I love

video games I made YouTube videos too I

love YouTube and because I love YouTube

I’m gonna continue playing video games

just so I can keep posting stuff about

them yo if you watch my videos you can

see that transition advanced warfare I

hated it and that’s just that killed it

that just you know killed my passion for

video games if I passionate the correct

word I guess addiction to video games uh

I don’t like I don’t care if you play

video games I’m never gonna you know

hate on anyone for playing them

I feel like though now that I’m kind of

growing up I’m almost eighteen feel like

there’s better ways to spend my time

like I really don’t need to be spending

15 hours a week playing video games I

feel like video games just playing them

in general doesn’t benefit me but you

know that’s hypocritical because I spent

so many years playing it and you know I

sit behind a computer editing YouTube

videos for hours every day but you know

to me I can justify you know spending

hours making YouTube videos because you

know I’m growing a YouTube channel I’m

growing you know you know but just

sitting behind my TV playing video games

I don’t know I just can’t really justify

spending hours upon hours doing that

every week and I’m not trying to come

off as the most productive person

because I definitely do tons of things

that are waste of time that I shouldn’t

do but video games with one

I just put too much time into and it

really doesn’t benefit my life you know

so that was one of the bigger reasons

why I stopped and that’s one of the

reasons I made the transition from doing

video game commentaries like I’m doing

now to IRL videos because once I you

know once I started hating video games I

wasn’t gonna be one of those people that

just kept going with it I’m you know I

loved YouTube so I just had to make that

switch I was like I don’t play video

games anymore I just got to stop

uploading them and start doing IRL

videos which cause you know a lot of

drama at first a lot of people are like

oh I don’t like our old videos do video

games but I think a lot of people would

agree now that my are all of my in real

life videos are like way better than

these video game commentaries these are

just so generic it’s not original and

it’s really hard to become known on

YouTube doing video game commentaries

they’ve just is too generic it’s not

unique at all you can’t get anywhere

doing this in 2015

wow this videos already been going on

for three minutes these commentaries are

definitely a lot easier to do like are

all videos they take so much time to

edit and stuff this I just got to record

the audio and slap it on some gameplay

these are a lot easier to make and I can

tell that’s why a lot of people want to

post video game commentaries because

honestly they’re just lazy and they know

these are super easy to do but anyways

I’m not trying to call anyone out I will

say though like um I do play a couple

video games occasionally still like I

didn’t cut cold turkey I I played boom

beach on my phone I actually really

enjoyed that up I spend about you know

5-10 minutes a day on that and then on

top of that I occasionally play a casual

game of League of Legends I don’t know I

really enjoy legal legend still and you

know so I still spend about an hour to

two hours a week playing video games but

it’s nowhere near like the 20 plus hours

I put in every week and I feel like I

know I don’t feel like it’s a good

decision I feel like you know not

sitting behind my computer or not not

sitting behind my TV playing call of

duty

20 hours a day is actually you know

benefiting me because I do other things

like making YouTube videos and YouTube

money but yeah I don’t know like like I

said I didn’t like completely cut them I

still occasionally play casual game

League and I’m not against video games I

just feel like there was more productive

things you could be doing if at all

possible you can give them up

and that’s pretty much that hopefully

you guys enjoyed the throwback
