Canadian Rocky Mountains


Some of the best-known mountain scenery on earth is concentrated in a set of seven  parks in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

There are four national parks in the Canadian Rockies-BanffJasperYoho and Kootenayand three British Columbia provincial parks-Mount RobsonMount Assiniboine and Hamber.

The seven preserves located along the Albert-British Columbia border attract more than nine million people annually.

Banff National Park became Canada's first national park in 1885and birthplace of the Canada's national park system.

It is home to a variety of distinctive natural features and cultural and historical sites.

As one of 39 national parks in CanadaKootenay National Park represents the south-western slopes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
