so hi Rodrigo thank you so much for
taking this Skype interview and I just
wanted to find out I saw you before and
after I was literally blown away so I
had to get you on just as a dialog can
you tell me can you tell me a little bit
about were you always like did you ever
struggle with your weight yes it’s been
an issue all my life ever since I was a
little kid and have the Weight Watchers
those one of the original Weight
Watchers clients has a big plastic
yellow cup that I have to drink four
times a day all throughout my teenage
years you know it’s been an issue all my
life oh my god and and managing you ate
a few pine I think it’s my fourth or
fifth times out the moving way never did
it correctly but I managed used to wait
before Wow a lot harder a lot harder to
lose the weight but I managed to do it
tell me some of the turning points that
starting you really getting success well
of course you know I got very interested
in your videos I did lots of research
basically all over the internet not just
YouTube and the watch most of your
videos if not all of them and the 30
foot for me to be real precise was
understanding what makes you gain weight
I mean that is oh yeah that for me was
was the biggest turning point I remember
dr. Berger humours back was the Atkins
diet was was a rage you know I guess
maybe ten years ago basically what it
started out and I did this back inside I
lost weight but I did it all back I gave
it all back and I could not for the life
of me understand how I could eat so much
broken fat ends weight I couldn’t
understand that there was no scientific
explanation that makes it and I’m not a
doctor you know I work with software I
have some technical knowledge you know I
understand technical things but he just
didn’t ever make sense to me why why I
could not keep the weight off you
and then I remember actually a few years
ago going all over the internet trying
to understand why you lost weight the
Atkins diet and there’s a little road
internet that’s that information are
available and five years ago you cannot
find on the Internet how that can side
makings weight the best answer I read
was well you end up dating a little bit
less because you’re eating so much
protein which literally it’s not true so
that’s the 34 the turning point for me
is actually having the correct
information to be able to plan and start
acting on it you know that that that for
me was the big big turning point I think
I just wanted to say interject something
because I think the average person
that’s struggling with weight it’s
really blows on so they don’t know how
to burn fat now if you take a look at
ketosis which is basically your body is
running off of the byproduct of fat so
you’re running off of ketones which are
basically fat burning so I mean it would
seem logical to me that if someone who
will understand ketosis they would want
to do it since that’s the goal the goal
of losing weight is to burn fat but I
think number one people don’t understand
what it is it’s a new term they don’t
know how to do it healthily and so they
end up doing a diet and then struggling
highly contradicts anything we’ve been
taught yeah right it goes right up it
again
oh yeah eat more fat of what are you
crazy my friends that are doctors that
spreads that are surgeons and they like
what are you crazy
I feel Jesus but you know what are you
crazy that I started doing this and a
few weeks go by like what do you get
yeah Wow
so now um like right now I’m guessing
you’re also doing in a minute fasting
yes actually that that’s when really
things took off I’ve been using a most
both methods they go really well hand in
hand yeah and III play actually I’ve
learned amount to
my hunger you know it’s 100 for me you
know and sometimes when I work out I get
a little bit more hungry I eat and then
I take it like that you know and I feel
it’s good and I weigh myself once a week
and I put on one or two pounds then I’ll
do some intermittent fasting for two
three days it’ll come down and that’s
how I’ve been they’ll be able to manage
the whole way situation it makes me feel
good so the whole energy things it’s
totally true I mean is it it’s it I’m
witnessing who’s it actually important
it words it makes you feel really good
this is the goal is to get you just
knowing how to do it so you can pretty
much if you go off you know what to do
to get back on you you can control your
way you’re in charge you’re not at the
effect of this metabolism so tell me
right now on average how many hours you
go with fasting and how many times you
eat in a given day well I do with the
fact that really feels good to me is
basically about a 20 hour path okay you
know and I usually just goes on Monday
because of the weekend you know I
confess I do relax a little bit you know
is sometimes go I take like carbs
basically and I know I’m not supposed to
do this for a little vino a little wine
right what carbs for the one the only
the only excuse I I can accept it for
the wine maybe one day bottle and is
about 50 cards and you can do one bottle
a night now I’m just kidding so so now
let’s say you’re going 20 hours so I’m
guessing you’re doing two meals a day or
just one I do too
in a four-hour window so I usually I’ll
go home just like today today I first
meal I wake up around 6:00 6:30 and I’ll
have a little coffee with heavy cream
and maybe if I’m really hungry I’ll
throw a little bit of butter a little a
little bit of the grass-fed butter on
there and and I’ll go the whole day and
I’ll start getting hungry around for
five o’clock five o’clock I’ll have a
snack I am usually a little bit of
cheese or some walnuts and stuff and
then I have a good deal around 7:30 in a
muck of a big meal and that’s it it’s
over
throw in some kale shakes there once in
a while okay good so can you give me an
example when you eat a big meal what is
what’s in that meal oh I got this well
dinner for example tonight I love the
cook here at home my wife doesn’t cook I
took over the kitchen so and then I use
that you know to make what I like to eat
is she ended up jumping on the bed when
we weak you so today I made a big
meatloaf with stuffed with spinach and
cheddar cheese so that that was our
dinner that was our dinner and a little
pop silent with with a little mustard
vinaigrette but also lets the cook so
that really helps things out so I’ve
been trying to get me that I made a pita
bread of a jido pizza you know in my
wife actually in 50 kilos on the white
on the diocese I put her on the
bandwagon for both of us or both keto
that that’s fantastic and then right now
you’re working out too right
yes actually what I did is I I what I
noticed which is also I’ve heard on the
videos what do you more a cab actually I
work on a lot my team actually work on
stuff then well and then I get away
there was all over like look wait so I
focus on the weight loss before working
out because I noticed that working out
really made me hungry I I go I want to
walk and come back and I just couldn’t
hold my appetite I had to eat you know I
sat down and you know I made I did the
numbers when I other exercise and eat on
an exercise and Nadi about exercise or
not even waiting yeah
how that makes sense I just released a
video on that it’s like you you may be
right before you can eat during them
eating meal or maybe right after because
you’re right it’s gonna you’re going to
tap on your glycogen Reserve and you’re
going to be
really hungry so if you want to go
through that it’s not that big of a
crucial thing to to exercise when you’re
not eating so yeah your before and
afters I was like amazed amazed to you
obviously whatever you’re doing is
working now if someone were to you know
hear about what you’re eating we’re in a
minute fasting I think what comes up
number one is like oh my gosh I’m going
to be so hungry I’m going to lose muscle
mass what would you say to that yeah I
would I would actually I would say try
it try it and what really worked for me
is I started doing actually I was never
really hungry in the forty I only ate
because I was already overweight right
and I like to eat I’m you like to eat
everything ready that the FDA has no
problem telling us to eat six times a
day they can tell us the problem that
they only normal type of day right okay
it’s plentiful but oh you know I was
never hungry in the morning so I’m like
okay I’m not that hungry I’m gonna have
a coffee on Monday and I went to lunch
and then at lunch I started doing in a
low car icepad and once they just pull
the other you get it kind of the
intermittent fasting works together with
the key with the ketogenic diet I mean
they have to go hand-in-hand there yeah
I think because it improves really it
makes it made a lot of sense to me and I
felt it because I was actually fixing my
metabolism which were I would eat and I
consider out the life of you how I would
go to McDonald’s they need the biggest
new they had in an hour later be hungry
I could not how can i still be early you
know and now and and I eat more now
workout reason and I’m not hungry
so basically my system was was all
colluded with the carbs and
and you know that’s what happened to me
and I was able to fix it doing this that
they can identify and really help me out
a lot for those because they’re watching
and you’re concerned about it not being
healthy what you’re doing is you’re
fixing high levels of insulin when you
lower your insulin your body can finally
tap into fat all of six happening
hormones are nullified in the presence
of insulin so what fixes insulin is not
eating so frequent cutting out the carbs
but to do that you have to increase fat
to be able to go from one mill to the
next year your if you did this on lean
protein you would crash and burn because
it would be too hard yeah you do lose
weight but it’s something that’s a lot
harder and if you fail eventually you
won’t be able to hold a long time which
is the whole idea so what you’re doing
now is you feel that it’s sustainable
for sure definitely because I enjoy what
I mean I don’t I don’t know hungry I
enjoy what I’m eating and most
importantly that the energy I have now I
don’t want to lose that energy yeah I
know it’s encouraged I don’t want to
lose energy ever I’ve never I’ve never
had so much energy so I really want to
keep up that activity level and since
I’m enjoying myself I’m not really
depriving myself of any pleasures and
when I eventually want to have something
really sweet I’ll have some diet that’s
made of diet jello or something like
that or maybe have some whipped cream
without no sugar and that all
strawberries maybe some very rested that
that’s it basically I understood one
thing that if I want to stay the lean
and keep the energy level I can’t eat
the cards if I eat the carbs I will gain
the way back that’s understand that for
some reason you know the overweight mind
thinks like this I’m going to do the
diet so I can lose the weight but
eventually i cain’t
like I did before no right it doesn’t
make sense I cook back yeah but that’s
how we think right now that’s all
obese a big
but there’s so many other things you can
eat to make it enjoyable and I think you
figured it out so I want to thank you so
much for this interview it was really
great to meet you and get this crystal
behind it before and after which is
incredible so I just want to say well
