to hear good news and keto and

intermittent fasting people I want to

say you’re really ahead of the game

because I did see a report that from a

dr. Steven Smith you know just that 100%

of the people that he’s working with who

were severely infected under the age of

70 were obese pre-diabetic or diabetic

and the good news in that is that

there’s absolutely something that you

can do to stay well and for those of you

that are watching clearly you’re already

you’re already doing that so kudos to

you keep going and it’s just another

reason to do keto and I have that’s

right and we have we now are live on

YouTube so I want to just mention about

and also I’m gonna actually we when we

take these calls a little crazy okay so

I want to talk about one point that you

brought up and we talked about diabetes

and obesity being a predisposing factor

to this coronavirus I just want to talk

about that real briefly because I think

it’s quite interesting there’s a couple

reasons why people who are obese or have

diabetes or high blood pressure or have

chronic lung infections are more

susceptible to this virus and and if you

take a look at the virus the virus has

these little spikes it’s like a little

tennis ball with little spikes these

spikes

connect to your receptors in a very

specific receptor in your body called an

ace 2 receptor and so it’s kind of like

a lock and a key and it just so happens

that the majority of these receptors are

in the lung and this is why people that

smoke I’m more successful - and by the

way if you do smoke just realize if you

if you quit smoking within 24 hours that

you will quickly improve as far as your

your resistance to viruses so you can

improve this if you stop smoking but the

point is that it just so happens that

diabetics people with high blood

pressure have more of these receptors

than people who don’t also people who

are have insulin resistance have

significantly more receptors to these

A’s to receptors so they’re like like a

magnet for this virus so what does that

all that mean it means that if you’re on

keto and you’re doing in a minute

fasting you’re gonna be much much more

bulletproof than if you weren’t so it’s

another reason to get off sugar it’s no

the reason to do keto in if’ for your

immune system so I will do a video on it

but I think it’s really important of

that being another factor in this whole

thing I want to go to Jackie she’s been

what Jackie asked she she’s concerned

because her ketone levels are a bit too

high

she was actually went up to fought over

five like a little bit over five and

there’s always this concern of this

thing called ketoacidosis and so I want

to let you guys know that in order to

have any type of ketoacidosis going on

you would have to have ketones above

like 11 12 something like that so 5 is

actually not that bad it just means

you’re in hardcore ketosis and when

you’re adding things like MCT oil which

I’m going to talk about a little bit

this is a new MCT oil that it’s not

quite launched yet but within a couple

of days you’re you’re gonna have a lot

more ketones in your blood so it’s

nothing to be concerned about because

those turn into ketones pretty rapidly

but if you’re at five even six you it

doesn’t mean that you have ketoacidosis

you would have to have a type one you

have to be a basically a type 1 diabetic

and also forget to take your insulin

because your blood sugars are out of

control but if your blood Sugar’s are

normal you do not have to worry about it

so Jackie III think you’re fine the

other thing too is that you can make

sure you have enough vegetables to

counter the pH if you’re concerned

because the danger of ketoacidosis is

the acid part but I would not worry

about it oh I think you’re fine

especially if you feel fine yeah so I

think you’re good Jackie all right

coming in I guess I guess you can ask

some questions while I look at these

right here okay so first of all I don’t

so here’s a question how much zinc do

you need a day yeah you don’t need a

terrible amount I would say you need

between I mean the RDA is for zinc er

between 8 and 13 so if you’re doing like

2025 you’re gonna be fine if you want to

go up to 50 that’s totally fine just

realize that when you’re taking zinc

guys over a long period of time you can

knock out other minerals like coppers

because they all work in a balance and I

do want to mention one thing about this

product trace minerals this is a new

product this product basically has some

extra zinc in it it’s only 10 milligrams

so it’s very small but it’s still good

normal but I also put all the other

minerals in there so you won’t actually

knock out some other things but zinc is

one of those things that can support a

healthy immune system along with vitamin

C but yeah I would go between 10 20 but

I wouldn’t go over 50 for a long period

of time okay good now speaking of that

we have someone and I’m sorry I didn’t

get the name taking wheatgrass

electrolytes and looks like wheatgrass

electrolytes and wheatgrass so anyway if

you’re taking greens and electrolytes do

you need minerals now your in the in

what happens in the electrolyte mix we

have trace minerals it’s not gonna be

high in saying you’re gonna trace

minerals and actual minerals the

electrolyte minerals like magnesium

potassium calcium chloride and sodium so

that’s really a mineral product the

trace mineral product is more of a trace

mineral product so that would complete

all the minerals so you don’t need to

take additional minerals if you’re

taking both of those there are some

minerals in wheatgrass but it’s mainly a

chlorophyll phytonutrient product on

steroids and as other a lot of other

properties too antioxidants

and a good amount of some basic minerals

magnesium we have not done the testing

on it we have a general idea but it’s so

expensive in the batches change every

every time we have a new product so

going back to do the testing is so

expensive on every single thing so we’re

not doing it right now okay all right so

well let me give let me give you let me

give you some tips to Terry okay and I

just want to let everyone know that

we’re not diagnosing anyone we’re not

recommending medical things this is just

information for you to share with your

doctor to see if you want to do it or

not okay so this is my opinion Terry us

and he was asking about h pylori he’s

been working on it for a while it’s

still quite not handled the thing with

the h pylori is that you want to make

sure that your stomach is that with a

normal arrangement pretty much everyone

has that microbe in their body but it’s

inactive so what activates it is more of

a pH shift so if you keep working in the

area of getting healthy and supporting

that I think that’s going to be the best

thing but the other thing is periodic

prolonged fasting so like every two

weeks if you did a fast for like 48

hours that would be a good thing because

these microbes kind of get recycled or

they actually get cleaned out but here’s

the couple things that you might want to

also do take a good amount of Petain how

to chloride and I’m talking like maybe

nine tablets a day just to signify the

stomach and also fulvic acid is a really

good one take that on a regular basis

and also oregano okay so Regan I’ll try

that and then let me know how that works

about cranberry juice that’s YouTube Oh

YouTube cranberry juice I think it’s a

great great remedy but the problem is

it’s a little bit high in sugar if

you’re going to do cranberry juice take

a look at the the sugar because a lot of

times they add this juice in it but

plain unsweetened cranberry juice is

really good for the kidneys is gonna add

a oxidants I think if you take a little

bit it’s going to be fine but it’s good

for the urinary tract all right Karen

screw up my diet now hopefully you’re

what I do that does screw up my diet

not gonna talk about it you know if I

ever you know travel or there’s some

and for me it’s sometimes just screwing

up intermittent fasting because my body

really operates best on one meal a day

and two meals a day sometimes even if

it’s completely keto will will be harder

on my body I feel it I feel some

bloating and stuff so what do I do

start over right I just start over I

mean I make sure that my elimination is

good and you know in an ideal world I’m

getting some kind of body motion but

food wise I just start over I don’t kill

myself

yeah I don’t beat myself up and I don’t

talk about it and I don’t you know boot

reboot just it’s a new unit of time and

start over there are a lot of people

that are sitting home nowadays and like

in lockdown

so let’s just briefly top cover some

things that they can do while they’re

home I think the first thing is to not

keep any junk in the house simply

because it’s gonna be sitting there and

for most people they have a hard time

you know especially if they’re idle know

so you’re gonna keep busy so get the

junk out of the trunk number one number

about just food or yes well because I

mean I just know when they’re actually

so you know don’t go nuts on the keto

snacks

yeah the snacks I think are the killer

mine posted this keto coffee cake and I

it’s true I can’t wait to get the recipe

but I know what would happen if that was

sitting in my kitchen counter and my

kids are home right now they’re not

going into the office and and they’re

all really good cooks and everything is

keto but Wow

I mean it’s it’s really been hard for me

to be on just one meal a day with this

oh my

you know just the newness of this change

needs to kind of wear off now and we

need to go okay so maybe we’re operating

from home or our schedule is different

but we have to go back to and when I say

we I mean me and steam the discipline of

you know the one meal a day if that’s

what you do and whatever what you were

doing that was working don’t let the

change you know Turiaf and I was

thinking earlier today it’s actually a

great opportunity to educate your kids

because everybody’s homeschooling right

now and while I was homeschooling my

kids I know one of the things that we

would do is just basic life skills and

that included cooking and learning about

food and learning about nutrition and I

think you should take this opportunity

to get the whole family

educated up educated education someone

had a question about turmeric I think

it’s awesome for the immune system it’s

great for an antioxidant so that’s a

good good thing the other thing too is I

think you have to really I I think

there’s different motivations of eating

stress you have the stress eating right

then you have the eating out of boredom

people are together and then people eat

when they’re depressed and then then I

eat when you’re hungry that’s the one

1:00 or 1:30 2 o’clock so if I do big

salad maybe some you know protein and I

have my fats or whatever really I’m good

for the rest of the day but I know that

my children are going to cook at

dinnertime and there’s gonna be food so

you have to kind of go okay do I want to

push it a little farther

and eat when they’re eating well I’m

gonna take social sorry exactly I’m

yeah I looked at that very exactly I

looked at that very close closely when I

decided to put that in there and say it

is a vegetarian source and the amount

that you would need to put in a product

to create any negative effect would be a

very large amount the amount that’s in a

product is so tiny so insignificant it

doesn’t it’s not even on the radar so it

is a flow agent there are other ones

that are what’s a flow agent something

to make it so it goes through the

machine so it actually can fill up the

little capsule and the problem is

there’s a it’s very difficult to find

something that is um like the absolute

perfect thing without actually having

some negative effects here and there the

study that they did on this was a large

amount and it was actually done on

animals wasn’t done on humans and so you

know it’s like I don’t know if I it’s

not a big factor in that in the in the

scheme of things as far as looking at

all the positive things in there as far

as that product depleting anything else

that’s just not gonna happen it’s

probably less than winning the Virginia

Lottery just because it’s such a tiny

tiny amount in a capsule but thanks for

electrolytes no there’s it’ll give you

would be the citric acid in decreasing

the formation of oxalate stones and

vitamin C to unless you’re doing it in a

bottle which actually you’re heating the

product you’re pasteurizing it and that

way you wipe out all the vitamin C all

right now the percentage of your immune

cells in your body 70% of all of your

your digestion is off

how much 70% that’s a lot that’s a lot

majority of your immune system so you

know we talked about the thymus and we

talked about well we haven’t talked

about that but the thymus is on top of

the heart it can is part of the immune

system the heart it’s on top of the

heart it sits on top of the heart the

thymus climb it’s an immune gland how

come here I’m pointing here and so you

also have the bone marrow as part of the

immune system you have the lymph nodes

you have the spleen but I’m telling you

the gut is a real key area for your

immune system so it just tells you how

much I mean the relationship and the

influence of that you gotta take care of

your gut Karen I am okay good

this is the zinc supplement guys right

about a fever you know if a child is a

all the right things and one thing I

would mention sometimes people really

not working so what do you do first of

here’s an interesting question calcium

can it ever cause inflammation no no

calcium is not an inflammatory process

but but if you have too much calcium you

definitely will have things like

arthritis it’s do not it’s because the

calcium starts forming deposits and the

joints as an arthritic thing but it’s

not a direct inflammatory thing it’s

more like a Department issue calcium

deposits either in your joints and the

arteries one of the ways to keep calcium

out of the cell is having enough

magnesium in your diet and you get

magnesium from eating salads and leafy

greens in large quantities so if you’re

not doing that and you’re not doing

electrolytes and you don’t have enough

magnesium and maybe you’re

postmenopausal and you’re taking calcium

because they say to take calcium like

calcium carbonate and you’re taking all

that guess what you just increased your

risk for heart attacks

you start getting calcification in the

joints not a good situation I do want to

mention something very interesting

the mummies that they had in Egypt they

extracted them and they did all sorts of

x-rays and a lot of them had plaquing in

the arteries and calcium deposits and

their teeth were ground down because

they used to put like sand in the bread

they eat it ate a tremendous amount of

bread tremendous amount of bread

and it just shows you that if you look

at some of the statues and things that

had back then they had little guts the

men had kind of breast tissue like

estrogenic so it’s kind of like what

we’re doing now we’re doing this

experiment people need a lot of bread at

least now we don’t put sand in it so

that’s good progress yes good so another

interesting question you say avoid

stress but you also say that exercise

creates a stress on the body so the

question is should I avoid exercise

because it produces stress on the body

what you want to do with that is you

want to do more physical stress things

versus mental stress activities like

sitting there worrying about something

mental stress is very very unhealthy but

if we talked about this thing called

hormesis which is a hormetic it gives

you this little stress with these great

benefits at the other end like exercise

fasting going and taking a cold shower

he called oxygen therapy hypo ipok

hypoxic therapy which is cutting down

the oxygen there’s all these things to

add there’s a little bit of stress and

then allow your body recover that’s

completely different and that’s very

very healthy but what I’m talking about

is the chronic sustained mental stress

of getting bad news a little bit of bad

news will destroy a lot of good news

unfortunately so you want to really be

aware of where that bad news is coming

from you know where I’m going and we’re

not going there you know where I’m going

between the lines you know okay all

right roxanna stress is ruining my

immune system you’re right yeah so we

all have to figure out how to de-stress

you know if someone were to ask me what

is the magnitude of nutritional

deficiencies versus stress you know junk

food versus stress I’m gonna say stress

is probably a hundred times more

damaging on the

system simply because of just what it

does to your white blood cells and it’s

just very very deadly so just put

attention on that guys like really work

on doing things to counter the stress

and not being exposed to too much of it

especially nowadays do what you can okay

that gonna be a problem

so the second question people on YouTube

is that he’s asking if I’m off keto is

it okay to do the high level of fat that

you’re doing when you’re on keto

this is a really great question and

here’s the thing if you do high fat it’s

very very important not to at the same

time add the carbohydrates fats are only

okay in the absence of carbohydrates

sometimes people think hito is a high

fat diet

no no it’s a low carb diet and so

they’re like oh um Ilana fat I’m on

Keith I’m on Aikido no you’re not you’re

on a high fat whatever died that’s like

and you’re adding the carbs in there

that’s gonna be very very deadly because

when you add carbs to fat it’s just like

adding carbs to sugar right so uh so

when you’re talking I’m thinking all

right so if you’re not on keto if you’re

not observing the rules of a keto diet

or way of eating you’re gonna have carbs

with the fat you’re gonna have sugar or

grains maybe I don’t know what a good

example is if someone who’s just not

observing it’s gonna be what you’re

gonna have breads you’re gonna have

desserts you’re gonna have cookies or

pies or pasta so so let’s say for

example you’re going on carbs it’s

you’re doing sweet potato sweet rice we

can’t think and then you go a little fat

I mean that’s better than adding the fat

but I’m not recommending but here’s that

here’s the thing the other question I

want to answer is that there’s there’s

quite a few stories and some studies out

there not much of going back and forth

and it’s actually not good why is that

not good to go back and forth keto and

on keto

I mean I could see if you build up your

health and you occasionally go off okay

fine

but if you’re doing this cyclic thing

what happens it it’s very easy to get

your body to burn sugar it’s very it

takes more time it’s more difficult to

adapt to a ketosis so here you are like

a few times a week going off the program

what you might not realize is that carb

that you ate is gonna bump you out of

ketosis for three days sometimes two

sometimes three days so you may not ever

be in the ketosis the other thing too is

if you do an a1c test which is an

average of three months of your blood

Sugar’s those people that are doing keto

likes even ninety percent of time but

not a hard percent it will show the

numbers not looking very good because

it’s an average of three months so

you’re seeing the effects of the

retention of those days were you off and

so I think it’s a it’s not a good thing

for your arteries Dave Feldman did an

experiment and he went off I don’t know

how long he went off it was a very short

that was was like oh my gosh your

arteries got thicker you’re just going

off this let you know for like holidays

because people do it seasonal so if you

wanted to go off and cheat which I’m not

recommending maybe you go off on on a

holiday but you get right back on okay

don’t make it a two-week thing Steve I’m

sorry people of Earth or or like well

this month I’m gonna be on and next

month I’m gonna be off now like as a

regular way of living yeah because

people will say well well intermittent

fasting is good so we have to like reset

our body for carbs no it’s you don’t

have to reset it’s already insulin

resistant it’s already damaged like what

do we want to bring some things back in

there to create more oxidation no that’s

not gonna strengthen you and I know I

think that’s just one way to justify why

people want any carbs they’ll just say

it’s very similar to this but it doesn’t

really make any sense to me
